Heating System Overview
What is Heating systems ?
Heating and cooling systems have three basic elements—a source of warm air, a method of sending the heated air into your living space, and a way to control the temperature in your home.
The thermostat recognizes when the temperature is too hot, and turns the system on and off to maintain your temperature based on your preferences. A furnace, heat pump will take in existing air from inside your home, heat it, then push that air back into your living space to achieve the desired temperature.
WHAT ARE THE Type OF A HEATING SYSTEM?
- Central Heat (Furnaces)
A furnace uses fuel (gas, oil, or electricity) to create heat. The heat is transferred to your home via a heat exchanger. This heated air is then distributed throughout your home by a series of ducts. Simply put, a furnace will heat your air and then distribute it through your ducts. Heating the air.
- Boilers
A boiler uses a fuel source to heat a fluid. The fluid is then pumped through your hydronic heating system. You don’t need ductwork to install a boiler. A boiler can also be used as your home’s water heater. A boiler provides more consistent and efficient heat. Plainly put, hydronic radiant heat is the best form of heating a home. Boilers are also quieter than furnaces since there is no fan to move air through the house. With a furnace, you have to change or clean the filters. You don’t have to worry about that with boilers, so it’s less maintenance for you.
Boilers
Boilers are special-purpose water heaters. boiler systems distribute the heat in hot water, which gives up heat as it passes through radiators or other devices in rooms throughout the house. The cooler water then returns to the boiler to be reheated. Hot water systems are often called hydronic systems. Residential boilers generally use natural gas or heating oil for fuel. Instead of a fan and duct system, a boiler uses a pump to circulate hot water through pipes to radiators. Some hot water systems circulate water through plastic tubing in the floor, a system called radiant floor heating (see “State of the Art Heating”).
Important boiler controls include thermostats, aquastats, and valves that regulate circulation and water temperature. Although the cost is not trivial, it is generally much easier to install “zone” thermostats and controls for individual rooms with a hydronic system than with forced air. Some controls are standard features in new boilers, while others can be added on to save energy.
How to Control the Heating Radiators at Projects?
Radiators Heating Control
The TIS TRV Thermostat Radiator Valve keeps every room at the perfect temperature. It uses automation intelligence to warm rooms . This wireless, battery-powered solution offers scheduling and accurate room temperature analysis. It regulates the normal radiator by opening and closing the supply, and allows you to set radiators remotely and separately. With this solution, there are many ways to manage radiators in your house: you can automate them and schedule their operation, you can use the TIS app in your phone to set the temperature if you have internet connectivity, and you can control it manually using its on-device buttons, backlight, and LCD screen.

Floor Heating Control
Underfloor Heating Collectors Valve Functionality
In well-insulated buildings, water-based underfloor heating provides several advantages over conventional radiators when considering acceptable room temperature. Heat is distributed more evenly, cold feet are avoided and consequently the indoor temperature may be reduced by 1° or 2°C without felling cold, resulting in energy savings. Underfloor hearting will also work at lower supply temperature and low flow rates. Room temperature is controlled by thermal actuators, but with-out further system balancing, poor control may become a problem. This can be solved by installing a Pressure Independent Control Valve as zone valve control with accurate actuator from TIS and connection with each manifold controlling both flow and pressure in the zone.
The Control Valve will regulate the flow of low temperature hot water to re-quired flow by adjusting the actuator position. This helps to secure a steady temperature in the entire underfloor heating system.

Central Heat (Furnaces)
The Heating Cycle In the furnace, what takes place is usually known as the heating cycle. This is the process that usually leads to a supply of warm air in the house when the temperatures drop. The heating cycle is simple. It actually involves burning of the gas and distribution of heat as follows; Gas from the supply is directed to the burners via the igniter which starts a flame and makes the gas burn. The gas burns producing heat that is directed to the heat exchanger to make the air around warm. That warm air from the exchanger has directed the blower fan where it is forced into the ductwork of the house. The warm air is then distributed to all parts of the house. The cold air from the house is directed to the furnace through the ductwork and heated all over again. The cycle continues again and again until the house is well regulated in terms of temperature. The process is very dependant on the thermostat and the temperature control. These are the ones that dictate whether the heating should start or not. Therefore for the process to be complete, every component should be working properly.
How we can control central heating system (Furnaces) With TIS ?
1 - HVAC Module. It is a smart solution for controlling HVAC duct split systems, 0-10V VAV dampers, and Air Handling Units (AHU).This unit has 6 relays to control multiple fan speeds (low, medium, high), cooling, heating, and auxiliary conduction. In our example we only use the heating function so we will be controlling a heat pump
2 – Panel TIS. You will need any wall Panel TIS that is equipped with thermostat function to control you room temperature and fan speed.
Air Conditioner Cooling System Overview
What is Air Conditioner systems ?
Your air conditioning unit uses chemicals that convert from gas to liquid and back again quickly. These chemicals transfer the heat from the air inside your property to the outside air.The AC unit has three key parts. These are the compressor, the condenser, and the evaporator. Your unit’s compressor and condenser are typically located in the outside part of the air conditioning system. Inside the house is where you will find the evaporator. The cooling fluid reaches the compressor as a low-pressure gas. The compressor squeezes this gas/fluid, and the molecules in the liquid are packed closer together. The closer the compressor forces these molecules together, the higher the temperature and energy rise.
WHAT ARE THE Type OF Air Conditionner SYSTEM?
Each type of air conditioning system has its own benefits and limitations, and the best system for a particular building or application will depend on factors such as the size and design of the building, the climate, and the desired level of control and efficiency.,There are several Tow types of air conditioning systems, including:
1- Central HAVC SYSTEM
2- Ductless Ac SYSTEM
Central HAVC SYSTEM
Packaged HVAC System :
Is Large-scale systems, This type of system combines heating, cooling, and air circulation an entire building by circulating through a network of ducts. It's often used in commercial or residential buildings.
HOW HAVC SYSTEM WORKS?
HVAC systems that use a central chiller to cool water, which is then circulated to air handling unit throughout a building to provide cooling. The air handling unit contain fans that blow air over the cooled water coils to lower the temperature of the air, and then distribute the cooled air throughout the building through ductwork. This type of air conditioning system is commonly used in larger commercial and industrial buildings, as it provides a more efficient means of cooling large spaces compared to traditional direct expansion systems. The centralization of the cooling process also provides greater control and flexibility for temperature management.
Chilled water air conditioning systems are often used in office hotel rooms as well as in other types of buildings. These systems provide a centralized and efficient means of cooling, and allow for greater control over the temperature and air quality in each room. In a hotel setting, individual thermostats in each room can be used to set and maintain the desired temperature.
The components of a central HVAC system
1 / unit indoor : This unit is responsible for circulating air throughout the building. It typically includes a fan, a heating or cooling coil, a filter, and a thermostat.
2/ Ductwork: Ducts are used to distribute conditioned air from the air handling unit to each room in the building. They can be made of metal, fiberglass, or other materials..

boiler systems distribute the heat in hot water
How TIS can control HAVC?
HAVC systems are controlled by a central control system that manages the operation of the central chiller and fan coil unit. This control system can be operated and monitored for individual rooms or areas.
The control system of a chilled water conditioning system usually includes two sections The outdoor control system and the indoor control system have the following components:
1 - air-cooled chillers with out heating system
2 - air-cooled chillers with heating system

The indoor control system
Indoor control system HVAC System Stage Cool
Indoor control system if the installation of HVAC support only Stage Cool like this example then only we need to control the fan speed and on/off for Fan Coil unit
1- control Fan speed : the control of the fan speed so we need 3 channel of relay TIS that have support function FAN, in our example we chose panel additional ADD-3R-5A.
2- panel TIS ( Luna ,IO-AC-4G ): like Thermostats located in each room, these panel measure the temperature and send signals to the control system to adjust the cooling as needed.
indoor control system HVAC System Stage Cool and Stage Heat
Indoor control system if the installation of HVAC support Stage Cool and Stage Heat like this example then we need to control the fan speed and mode of HVAC like cool and heat and Aux
1- HVAC MODUL TIS : This module has 6 relays to control multiple fan speeds (low, medium, high), cooling, heating, and auxiliary contact. Keep in mind that the auxiliary contact can be configured for both a dehumidifier and/or heating/cooling pump.
2- panel TIS ( Luna ,IO-AC-4G ): like Thermostats located in each room, these panel measure the temperature and send signals to the control system to adjust the cooling as needed.
Outdoor Chiller Controller system
outdoor control system is Chiller Controller: responsible for managing the operation of the central chiller, including the control of the refrigerant flow, compressor speed, and condenser water flow. and this controller can be integrated with TIS Protocol via Modbus.
0-10V / Variable Valve (VAV )
Variable Air Volume. VAV stands for variable air volume. this systems are very common in offices. This is because they are much more energy efficient compared to the CAV model (Constant Air Volume).
VAV allows zoning within the building. That’s ideal for most situations because every room in a building will experience a slightly different heating/cooling load. VAV systems allow each room to control the amount of cooling, and possibly heating, individually. Each room is supplied by the same main AHU and ducts. Different parts of the building may have dedicated AHU’s and ducts, for example the south and north sides of a building or selected floors depending on functionality.
how we can control VAV ?
Function and Components of a VAV Box
The VAV box has a damper at its inlet moved by an actuator that is controlled by the controller that takes its command from a temperature sensor. The process is very simple. When the temperature sensor in the space calls for cooling it sends a command to the VAV box controller which then adjust the supply air flow rate (CFM). The adjustment is done by an actuator rotating the VAV box inlet damper either open or closed in increments.
how we can control VAV ?

Ductless Mini-Split AC (VRF)
Ductless mini-split air conditioning (AC) systems are a type of HVAC system that provides heating and cooling without the use of ductwork. Instead, they use individual air handling unit (indoor unit) that are mounted on the walls or ceilings of each room, connected to a single outdoor unit (compressor) through a small conduit. These systems can be used to add cooling or heating to specific rooms or areas, rather than to the entire building. Each indoor unit is equipped with its own temperature control, so each room can have its own desired temperature. The outdoor unit is typically installed outside the building and is connected to the indoor unit through the conduit.
How we can control VRF with TIS?
FUNCTIONS
TIS VRF Controller is the central controller that can manage up to 32 Indoor unit in one space individually or as combined. TIS-VRF–AC can monitor or control the AC unit installed in each room of the building from the places such as the management office of a building or the administration office of a school.
SPECIFICATION
Ductless Ac SYSTEM
Window ACs:
Small, self-contained unit that are installed in a single window or wall opening.
Split ACs:
Consist of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit, connected by a conduit. The indoor unit circulates cool air into the room, while the outdoor unit houses the compressor and condenser.
How can TIS control Ductless Ac system? As it is support infrared control , control using TIS IR emitters devices?
3 option of device TIS to control AC the From IR that you can use:
IR Learner
TIS Control company’s products are designed to support all types of homes’ smart needs. In order to make this happen, we’re introducing the IR Learner—an intelligent code learner that enables the TIS network to be configurable with any brand. If an infrared AC Brand doesn’t work with TIS’s IR solutions, such as the Energy Servant 10F Sensor and the IR Emitter, it’s because its code is not available in TIS’s smart library. This is where the IR Learner saves the day. It learns the new code and records it in its intelligent memory. You can transfer the new data to your PC through the USB port and then upload it to TIS solutions with infrared capability. Remember, keeping a code library in your PC is a valuable backup for future projects.
You can also test the new code’s accuracy before any information is added to the database. The IR transmitter option in this device makes any new data testable.
TIS’s engineers are proud to enrich your smart lives wherever you are and whatever digital brand you use.
