Three earlier standards comprise the KNX protocol: the European Home Systems Protocol (EHS), BatiBUS, and the European Installation Bus (EIB or Instabus), so it is a much-preferred international standard, especially in Europe.

With the KNX network, several physical communication media, including twisted-pair wiring, power line networking, radio frequency, infrared, and Ethernet, are enabled in TIS’s smart home technology, which means more control options.

Simply set your M/MI/S Group in ETS software to match any Subnet device id and channel number in TIS dimmers or relays, or set any TIS panel to send the KNX group address to control any TIS actuator.
